Prof. Liu is the Editor-in-Chief of the Economic Science, standing member of the National Youth Association, member of the Beijing CPPCC committee, representative of the CPC Haidian District Committee, visiting professor of several universities, executive director of the State Property Administration Society, member of the China Investment Association, vice chairman of the Beijing Youth Association, advisor to the Beijing People’s Government, member of the Evaluation Committee on Professional Titles of the Central Committee of Communist Youth League of China, and winner of the ‘Sun Yefang Economic Science Award’ in 1994 and 1996. Prof. Liu's research interests include the theory of socialist economy, evolution of the enterprise equity system during the reform in socialist economic system, and evolution of industrial structure during the economic development.
