Prof. Hu used to be the Associate Dean of the School of Economics. She is the Associate Dean of the Faculty of Social Science of Peking University, Director of the Center of Financial Research of China, Deputy Director of the Academic Development Committee of the Center of Women’s Studies of Peking University, member of the Foreign Expert Evaluation Committee, member of the Director Board of Beijing Economics Association, and standing member of the Tenth CPPCC. Prof Hu's research interests include investment theory; capital market; the development and reform of financial markets in China and Asia.
