Hong Susan Ma
    Dr. Hong Susan Ma, Risk Analytics Principal at American International Group focusing on firm wide risk management for both financial and insurance business. Prior to joining AIG in 1998, Ms. Ma holds a senior specialist position at FleetBoston Financial Corporation building Global Treasury Risk Management System. She has also been a consultant for American Express working on consumer credit modeling.

Hong Ma obtained her BS and MS in Physics from Peking University in 1987 and 1990 respectively. In 1996, she received her Ph.D. in Physics from York University in Canada with the highest honor - the Canadian Governor-General's Gold Medal, Research Fellowship from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and the Excellent York Ph.D.Thesis Award. Hong then engaged her postdoctoral research at Harvard University in 1996-1997. She has published a dozen of research papers in international journals and co-authored a book "Risk Management for Life Insurance Company".
